LPG policies of the government is resulting in poverty, inequality and violence. People are finding difficult to survive. Says, AIDWA General Secretary Smt. Sudha Sunder Raman while inaugurating the womens conference in connection with 17th State conference of KSEB Officers Association at Kollam today.
Smt. Sudha sunder raman appreciated the association for conducting a womens conference. Issues of women are not different from that of the society.
Changes happening in the power sector is also part of LPG policies. These issues not only affects employees but also the common man. Women are increasingly taking part in protests against these policies. Students, youth and women leads the struggle globally and the capitalistic system is under threat. Now, people are looking for the alternative.
In retail sector, Govt. has increased the FDI to 51% allowing global companies like Wallmart to start operation in India. Small income shops located every nook and corner will now find it difficult to survive.
Now the Prime minister of India is talking about the prosperity. Whose prosperity he is talking about? prosperity of poor people? prosperity of farmers who had commited suicide? prosperity of women? In fact the prosperity is for a very limited number of corporates only. Corporates gets huge concessions. But, no money for schemes like NREGA.. No money for poor Asha workers..
Corruption is increasing . Anna Hazare and team who fights against corruption dont oppose these policies or corporate loot.
KSEBOA vice president Smt. G Sreekumari amma welcomed the gathering. President Sri. KA Sivadasan presided over the function. Womens sub committee convenor Smt. Indira Presented the report.
