KSEB plans to strengthen distribution network

Distribution networkThe KSEB plans to install 4,100 km of 11 KV lines, 3,200 km of distribution lines and 6,000 transformers by the end of March 2011, the KSEB said in a statement. Once they are in place, the distribution network in the state will be strengthened considerably, it said.

The KSEB has achieved great progress in infrastructure development in distribution during the year ended on March 31, 2010. During 2009-2010, 3,398 km of 11 KV lines, 7,837 km of distribution lines and 5,790 distribution transformers were installed. This is an all-time record, the KSEB said.

During the previous year - 2008-09 - this was 3,018, 7,636 and 4,109 respectively.
