As per the project, 220 KV sub stations will be installed at Shajapur, Gwalioir, Datia, Mugaliachhap Bhopal, Dhar, Gorabazar (Jabalpur), Anuppur and Julwania (Barwani).
Similarly, 132 KV sub stations will be set up to reduce the power voltage of 220 KV at Hastinapur Gwalior, Runah Bhopal, Khurai, Bhudhra (Tikamgarh), Sitamau, Bichhua (Chhindwara), Baihar, Guna, Barotha Indore, Dewas, Barwani, Shankargarh (Dewas bypass), Amla, Khirkiya, Shahganj, Baroda(Sheopurkalan), Sidhi, Rahatganj (Sagar), Tejgarh (Damoh), Chhattarpur, Rau, Tikamgarh, Batiagarh (Damoh), Satwas (Dewas) and Sohagagpur.
It may be noted that in the year of 2002-03, electricity supply which was maximum of 4,587 MW has now increased upto 7,786 MW.
All three power distributing companies in the state are working out on feeder diversification to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore. Besides, works under Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Project of Rs 2,500 crore are under process in the state.
