
The proposal includes a 2000MW greenfield power project on the lands owned by Patratu Thermal Power Station in Ramgarh district, another 1000 MW plant Maurya near Patratu Thermal and a third of 2000 MW capacity would at Dumka,” JSEB chairman H.B. Lal told the media.
JSEB has been granted coal blocks by the state in Latehar district for running the plants. The cost of the three projects would be around Rs 25,000 crore. The funding would come from public-private joint venture, said Lal. All the projects are expected to get over in three year, Lal added.
“The staff have already been earmarked for the projects and a new office would become operational by the end of this month,” he said.
