DabholMaharashtra Government today decided to demerge Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd (RGPPL) into two independent companies - electricity generation centre and Regassified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) terminal.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, an official said.

The RGPPL is shut since November 2013 due to unavailability of gas.

The Cabinet also approved the Court Infrastructure Policy.
