Simplifying the complaint recording system at its newly introduced Centralized Complaint Redressal Centre (CCRC), in lieu of local complaint centres, through toll free numbers the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has appealed to the consumers to register their consumer number in the system while lodging complaint for the first time. This denotes that there's no need of providing consumer number when you make a call for lodging complaint furthermore.
According to MSEDCL sources, "Once the consumer registers his/her consumer number during the maiden call to lodge a complaint of any nature, it automatically goes to the system, making it permanent in the record for further reference thereafter." It has also simplified the complaints lodging procedure by allowing the consumers with wider option of three contact numbers being registered for further complaints where consumer number will be displayed in the system automatically. "A consumer can register three mobile or land line numbers for identification of calls and consumer number for further remedies of any complaints related to power cut, bills, payment etc," said an official.
