(HPGCL) has broken all previous records by achieving a record generation of 228.12 lakh units of power at PLF of 103.32 per cent in a single day on November 12, which is the highest ever since its commissioning.

A spokesman said in Panipat on 14-11-2008 that the Power Station, comprising of two 210 MW Units and two 250 MW Units, had bettered its own record of power generation of 226.78 Lakh Units achieved on November 09, by generating around 1,35,000 more units of electricity in a single day.

Giving details of power generated at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Station Yamuna Nagar, he said that the 300 MW Unit-1 of the power station generated 73.09 lakh units of power without oil support on November 13, and achieved a record PLF of 101.52 per cent, which is the highest ever since the commissioning of the Unit.
