
Since the next tariff will be decided based on this difference and that of next year’s (2010-2011) projected gap, Delhiites are likely to be hit hard depending on how much gap is accepted by the regulator.
‘‘As per the gaps the discoms are showing in their petitions, tariff for BRPL could go up by 69.6%, for BYPL the hike could be 60.04% and for NDPL 52.49%,’’ said a senior official. Only NDMC is not seeking a tariff hike as it is showing a surplus in its petition.
