What is Mobile Wallet?

· A wallet is a concept wherein customer loads money against his mobile number, by approaching a retail outlet.

· The retail outlet helps the customer create a wallet after which cash deposit can be made against customer's mobile number.

· This balance can be used to make payments like energy bill, mobile bill, DTH recharges etc. at customer's convenience, 24X7.

A Mobile Wallet can be used for person to person (P2P), remittances, product purchase, bill payment, airtime top-up, e-ticketing and other buy/sell scenarios. Transactions can be made through various channels like mobile, over the counter and ATM.

How to use this service?

Option 1: Customer chooses to pay cash to retailer, payment is made through retailer's mobile wallet and customer receives SMS confirmation of the same

Option 2: Customer asks retailer to create wallet on his own number, and pays cash to load the wallet. Customer also provides a filled up KYC form to the retailer during registration. Subsequently, customer chooses to pay for various services at his convenience.
