Power Quiz is an Yearly quiz competition organised by KSEB Officers' Association for college , Poly technic and higher secondary students of Kerala State. Sample question and answers for power quiz can be downloaded from the 'Downloads' section. Winners will be awarded with Sir Visweswarayya memorial rolling trophy and Runners up with KL Rao memorial rolling trophy. In terms of number of participants and cash prizes offered, this is the largest this is the largest quiz competition in the state. Quiz competition is in 4 levels. There is no admission or registration fee for Power quiz.
1.Higher Secondary/ Poly Technic level : Quiz will be conducted in Higher Secondary schools/ Poly Technic colleges. Questions will be Multiple choice type. Two best students will be selected from each institution for representing the institution in district level competition. Prize - Rs. 100 / each + CFL+ Certificates.
2. District level : Entire state is divided into quiz districts. Each revenue district will be having minimum one quiz district. Depending upon number of institutions, number of quiz districts will increase.i.e. Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Thrissur - 2 quiz districts/ revenue district, balance - 1 Quiz district. TA will be offered to all participants. Each team will contain two students.
Quiz consists of two levels , elimination round and final round. Elimination round is for limiting no. of participants for final round and will contain multiple choice questions. Final round will be oral quiz. Ist prize - Rs. 800 /- +books+ certificates+ entry to Zonal competition , 2nd prize - Rs. 600/- +books+ certificates+ entry to Zonal competition.
3. Zonal Level : State is divided into 6 zones. Winner/ Runners up from each each quiz district will partcipate in this level. Zonal level quiz competition will be oral type.
Ist prize - Rs. 1500 /- +certificates + LED lamps+ entry to State level competition , 2nd prize - Rs. 1000/- +certificates+ LED lamps.
4. State Level : Winners and Runners up from from 3 zones will compte for the final competition. Quiz will contain oral/ visual rounds.
Ist prize - Rs. 10000 /- +certificates + Solar lamps+ Sir. Visweswarayya memorial rolling trophy , 2nd prize - Rs. 5000/- +certificates+ Dr. KL Rao memorial rolling trophy+ solar lamps.
